7 Ways to Go From Burnt Out to Lit Up

In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to get caught up in the hustle of life and business. We can often find ourselves trying to keep up with the never-ending to-do list, leaving us feeling overwhelmed, stressed, and burnt out. After recently experiencing “masculine energy” burnout, I’m making it my mission to help women from going through the same thing. From the depths of my soul I mean it when I say its essential to take a step back, reevaluate our priorities, and find ways to restore our energy and vitality. 

Here are seven ways to go from burnt out to lit up:

1)Create a “dream day” calendar

One way to combat burnout is by creating a dream day calendar. This involves visualizing and planning out your perfect day, including all the activities, people, and experiences that make you feel happy and fulfilled. It’s an opportunity to set intentions for your life, prioritize self-care, and make time for what matters most. By incorporating these elements into your daily routine, you’ll feel more inspired and motivated to tackle your to-do list.

2) Set aside sacred space for yourself each day

Finding a quiet space where you can disconnect from the noise and distractions of the outside world can be incredibly rejuvenating. It’s a chance to tune inwards, connect with your soul, and recenter. Whether it’s a morning coffee with the Universe, a lunchtime walk, or an evening yoga class, scheduling regular time for yourself will help you maintain a sense of calm and balance throughout the day. Make this non-negotiable!

3) Find your power in being present

Living in the present moment is one of the most powerful ways to reduce stress and anxiety. It allows you to fully immerse yourself in the present experience and let go of any worries or concerns about the future. Learning this has been one of the greatest lessons I’ve had in the past year. The practice of presence continues to be my highest priority and focus in as many moments as possible.

4) Hire a coach or mentor for insight and guidance

Sometimes, it can be challenging to navigate the complexities of life on our own. Working with a coach or mentor can provide valuable insights, guidance, and support as you navigate life and/or business challenges. Whether it’s a therapist, a life coach, or a business mentor, having someone to hold space, give you ideas and strategies, positively call you up, uncover areas of growth, etc. can help you gain clarity, perspective and so much more! 

5) Know your elemental pattern of air, earth, fire, and water

the elements of air, earth, fire, and water represent different aspects of our physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing. By understanding your dominant elemental pattern, you can tailor your self-care practices and business activities, to meet your specific energetic needs. For example, someone in their fire element “week” would benefit from selling, podcasting, doing live videos, etc., while someone in their earth element “week” would benefit from grounding practices, decluttering, organizing and strategizing. 6) Upgrade your body and self-care routine

Taking care of your body is essential for maintaining optimal health and well-being. This includes eating better, getting enough sleep, and moving that beautiful body. 

In addition, incorporating self-care practices like massage, acupuncture, or aromatherapy can help you relax and unwind. By prioritizing your physical health, you’ll have more energy and vitality to tackle life’s challenges. This is the hardest area for me, but I’m fully committed to making my health my #1 priority in 2023.

7) Find a hobby that allows you to have fun and take your mind away from stress/anxiety

Engaging in hobbies and leisure activities is an excellent way to reduce stress and boost your mood. Whether it’s painting, playing music, or practicing a sport, finding an activity that brings you joy can help you unwind and recharge. By prioritizing leisure time, you’ll have a greater sense of balance and perspective, which can help you navigate life’s challenges with more ease and grace.

Here’s the thing…burn out looks different for everyone! And so does the solution. Pick a few from the list above and see how it feels to put you first!

People have been asking me when these divine downloads come in and how do I put them together each week to share. Here’s a little snapshot of how it works. Throughout my week, I seek clarity on issues for my own life and business, as well as asking for guidance for my clients. I take the messages from the Universe that give me and my clients the most impact! I jot little pieces down on my favorite colored post it notes throughout the week, and weave them all together when the timing feels right!

1) Big Dreams need Big Belief. And to reach those dreams, you have to be ready to take big steps! Steps that you might not always be able to see right away. But that is not your concern or focus area. The path, and the process will always be revealed in divine time! Don’t waiver on what you want because you don’t know exactly how to get it. Just visualize the outcome you desire and feel your way through the dark. A flashlight will always be given.

2) Get your light on – There is nothing more important on your to do list then starting your day by turning your “light on”. There are obstacles and challenges for all that can hit the “dimmer switch” to our light, and even an occasional bump in the road that causes us to turn the light off completely and feel lost. It’s never too late to start focusing on turning your light back on! With the light comes the clarity, find your way to the light switch everyday.

3) Quit asking what you are doing wrong, and focus on the things that you FEEL are right! b We waste too much time contemplating, questioning, and over thinking why things aren’t working, and what we are doing wrong. Shift your attention and feel gratitude for all of the amazing things that you have done right in your life and business. The next set of blueprints lie beneath feeling grateful.

I am always amazed at the simplicity of the messages that the Universe has for both me and my clients, but how impactful and insightful they are. It never seems to fail, it is a message that both me and my client will need at the same time! The Universe is always right, even when the truth is hard to swallow. Here are the pills/ divine downloads that I had to swallow this week!

1) We’re all on this journey together. We all experience the bumps in the road, the stop signs, the construction zones, and even what we think are dead ends. But, what we have to be able to see is that they are inserted on our paths for a reason. We have to trust unanswered prayers. We have to know that our road is paved perfectly, even if we only see the potholes!

2) Let your passion be bigger than your fear! Plain and simple. Just like curiosity “killed the cat”, fear killed “the entrepreneur”. Do it anyway, even if it scares the shit out of you! Even if your emotions are completely paralyzed, do what scares you. It is pushing you outside of your comfort zone, and that is where magic happens.
3) Don’t let other people determine how you feel. Set an intention for one day that you are going to feel the best way you possibly can! Search for your inner “light level”. Do whatever it takes to raise your light level throughout your day. After consciously lifting your vibration for one day like this, you will want the same experience each day after. You determine how happy you are, and how bright your light shines.

I love listening to the Universe. Each week day morning, I get 2 of my boys out the door for school, drop my 2 year old son at daycare, and then head to my office. As soon as I get there, I light a candle at my table, grab my coffee and my journal and have “Coffee with the UniverseTM“. It is in this sacred time each day that I  to talk and listen to the Universe. I take pieces each week of these moments and share them with you! I hope you enjoy this week’s insight!

  1. Be ready to tackle your fears and doubts at any given moment. You never know when a limiting belief will show up and try to dim your light. Be quick to dismiss and calm your worries. Shine stronger and brighter. Fear cannot compete with your light.
  2. It is not your job to convince others of anything. It is your job to share the wisdom of your souls perspective, to inspire others, offer support to those in need, and to be a lighthouse in a world full of ships sailing in the dark. Become a harbor.
  3. Always trust yourself first! Listen to the voice inside guiding you; reminding you of where you are headed. Feel your decisions in your heart and in your gut. Your emotional body will never lead you towards anything not aligned with your desires.

Each week I love reflecting on all of the thoughts, ideas and downloads I had from the Universe, and I have really been enjoying sharing them with you! Before DD Day, I really struggled with writing consistently. Now, I can’t wait to put this out, and I have so many people tell me how much they are starting to look forward to this email each week! So here you go!

Here’s my top 3 DD’s (divine downloads) this week:

  1. Your energy is your most important asset. Don’t skimp. Don’t procrastinate. Don’t ignore. You have to give your  daily attention to refueling your energetic “bank account” or the Universe will send you an energy overdraft and close your account down. Make feel good deposits.
  2. Everything is connected. Nothing is coincidence. Take time to reflect and journal your journey. Don’t be in such a rush that you aren’t appreciating the simple synchronicities and extravagant experiences lining up for you in every moment. Find the beauty created for you, everyday. Go on a joy scavenger hunt.
  3. Don’t be hard on yourself for enjoying and finding pleasure in certain things. If it feels good…Do it. If it tastes good…Eat it. If it smells good…Inhale it. Moderation is key, and your emotions determine the moderation right for you. Everything has to come in the right dose. Too much, it starts not feeling good, and guilt will take over for over-indulging. Too little, you will continue to crave more and be focusing on not having enough. Listen yo your body and feel into what is the right dose, amount and quantity for you. That is the perfect solution, the exact formula.

I’m not sure if you saw my email last week about my “divine downloads”, but the feedback I got was super positive! So much so that I waned to share them again! I have Coffee with the UniverseTM everyday, and each day I write down what messages the Universe had for me. It only feels right to pass them onto others! So here you go!

My top 3 DD’s (divine downloads) this week: 

  1. Stop focusing on what your reality is when it is not what you want. Start FEELING what it is that you want your reality to be… Yes, this one might sting a little, and yes, you might have to read it a few times to let it soak in, but it rings so true! You create your reality with the thoughts you think and the feelings you feel. Make sure they are good ones!
  2. Don’t be hard on yourself for procrastinating tasks that do not please you and bring you joy. Instead make the declaration “when inspiration hits, I am taking action, and inspiration is coming soon.” By dreading and avoiding, you only make the anxiety grow stronger, the resistance heavier. Release the guilt around not getting your “to-dos” done, and “do” when you are inspired to do. (yes, another one to re-read, The Universe was clever with wordplay this week.
  3. If you aren’t enjoying the moment, get out of it. Switch it up, walk away, brush it off. Discomfort and irritation are signs that the conversation or activity that you are engaged in is NOT in alignment with your true being, your true knowing, and it’s steering you away from what you desire.
