Have you ever hit a point in your business or in your life where you completely lost your mojo unexpectedly?
Let me tell you, I had this experience last week and it about wiped me out! As entrepreneurs, we thrive when we are aligned and have clarity around our goals, desires, and the action steps we are taking. But sometimes, when we least expect it, and for reasons we may not even know, an obstacle shows up that not only sidetracks us from our dreams but sucks the energy right out of us!
I want to share with you 4 simple ways to get back on track and get your mojo back when you hit one of these periods:
- Rest! Take the time to get some extra sleep, take a nap even! It is when you surrender to the circumstance that you give yourself the opportunity to gain more insight and get back on track quicker. So often we want to push and shove to get answers and get back up, but that is the exact opposite of what is going to get you back in the saddle. Resting gourmand is like hitting to reboot button. To some, it may feel irresponsible to walk away from the situation and “rest”, but it is actually the best thing you can do for yourself and your business.
- Write it out! Whenever you are feeling stuck or unsure, get out a notebook and some pens and write out exactly how you are feeling, and what questions you have rolling around in your head. Take a few minutes to reflect on how you are feeling and let it flow on to the paper. Ask for guidance and answers, and give a few minutes of space to let some answers come in. The Universe will never leave you hanging! The answers are there, just tune in!
- Water and Exercise! Get your body up and moving and stay hydrated. (after the rest) Water is going to flush your system and the exercise gets endorphins working! All great things when you are experiencing a downswing!
- Meditate! Everyone does it in their own way, whether you realize it or not. Find a form of meditation that works for you where you find clarity and connection to the Universe. Get your mindset reset, and before you know it, you will be firing on all cylinders again!
Always know that even in these moments of frustration and fogginess, there is a bigger purpose that you might not be able to see. New desires are stirring and fresh ideas are coming. It is in the darkness that we appreciate the light.
When it feels like things are falling apart, just trust that they are ultimately falling into place.
If you have been Missing In Action from your business, creating content and sharing your message my guess is because it’s that you actually are NOT clear on your Most Important Action(s).
Here’s the thing, your community, they want to hear from you! And when you start to shrink and hide instead of connecting and creating, nobody wins!
So here are a few things that you can do to stay focused on what is most important:
1) Stay locked into how you serving.
What ways do you love to show up for your community? Do you love #pendrops or #micdrops? Whatever excites you should be scheduled on your calendar to do as often as possible. The more consistent you are in connecting with your tribe, the more you are consistent in their mind! And we want them thinking of you and how you can help them all the time!!!
2) Stay lit up about what you are selling.
Talk about one thing, the one offer you have that you are super excited to have people say yes to! I used to be guilty of this myself. I would get an idea for an offer, put it out in the world, start sharing it and promoting it. But then when I didn’t get the sales or traction right away that I wanted, I would switch and start to focus on something new. When you stay focused on one offer at a time and you believe in it and stay true to following the energy behind it, your ideal clients will buy it.
Make it easy for your people to know what you have going on and how they can work with you.
3) Stay tuned in to your can’t wait to do list.
Whatever is on there that feels like a drag, probably needs to be delegated. Really pay attention to what you put off and procrastinate. Those tasks are energy suckers and take you away from serving and selling.
And if you aren’t doing those 2 things in your business…

I want to share with you a simple process I use whenever I am not hitting my goals. This is where I start and what I look at to tell me where I am off track. So if you do not have the clients you want, the income you desire, or if a package/program is not selling the way you want it to, it really comes down to these 2 questions:
#1) Am I getting clicks and calls?
Lean in sister, I am going to break it to you, if you don’t know your numbers, how do you know if your marketing efforts are working?
If you aren’t getting a lot of clicks on your sales page, your emails aren’t getting opened, people aren’t booking discovery calls, that tells us something super important, there is a big block in your marketing!
Now, you get to go back to the drawing board and look at what your current marketing strategy is and what current marketing content needs to be rejuvenated!
#2) Am I closing?
If you were able to answer yes to question #1, that means you are getting the prospects and potential buyers in front of you! Congrats! You are super close! But are you closing the sale? Are you asking for the business and making invitations for people to buy from you and work with you? If you are getting all the way to this point, but still not creating the income and converting, we know it is in your sales process!
Being able to identify which area is out of alignment puts you in a power position to start changing the course you are on immediately!
And here’s the other little thing I want to mention. Don’t let this frustrate you, let this enlighten you!
Get excited that you don’t get to go back to just the drawing board, you get to go back to the vision board!
Fall in love with what you are saying and who you are saying it to! Whether it is marketing or sales, when you come from the soul center out, you will attract all that you desire for your business!!

If you opened this blog link, you are probably feeling me when I say that marketing funnels should start with anything but the word fun…
All around, the process and the teachings of marketing funnels have never felt good to me. I tend to be a rebel, so I didn’t think much of it. But then I realized how many other people also felt that way.
I have paid attention over my almost 20 years in sales, marketing, and business so I know the savvy side of what a funnel should do.
But I also know the energetic side and the spiritual side of what our marketing should do. So I created a list and I would love to hear what ones resonate with you on why your marketing strategy, aka funnel, might not be working.
#1 Energetically a funnel is a mismatch for purpose and impact-driven business owners. Funnels push you down. Sorry, but my clients, they are ready to rise and are meant to ascend. I can’t call them down through a funnel when all I want them to do is soar.
I mean hello? We are people!!! We are not sheep that need to be herded through a funnel and led to some product. Ick.
#2 The 5 stages of the funnel were set back in the 1920’s by some old guy who is pale, male and stale. Yup, 1924 to be exact. Are you kidding me? Times have changed, and way for the better! Consumer buying habits have changed. Why we buy, when we buy, that’s all changed!
Business, especially online business, has evolved! I think it is safe to say it is time for a new era and the funnel can be placed in the history museum.
#3 A funnel has content that is primarily pre-created, pre-posted, pre-planned and pre-determined. Well to me that is pre-damn boring.
I love being a creator. And most of my business peers, they are the same way. They want to take inspired marketing action. And they want to work with clients who respond to the creative and inspired offerings, not follow along with all of the other sheep, who by the way, are pretty aware that they are going through a funnel and get out.
Don’t get me wrong, some things pre-set are ok. But for the most part, us creatives and multi-passionates, we need freedom from the funnel.
#4 Marketing should actually be called trust building, or relationship building. Some marketing and marketers have gotten a bad rap over the years and so many people have a funky feeling and pre-determined notion that is somewhat negative about the words marketing/sales. I am contributing a lot of that to, you guessed it, funky funnels that pushed them into something not right for them.
#5 The funnel says the process ends when the customer buys. Um no. That is just another layer of the relationship building! Now we get to serve that client. It doesn’t end, at the bottom. It should start and stay in the soul center of the business, everything in flow from there.
I have been feeling into this for a while.
And I knew something was brewing.
I get great ideas all the time, but when this one hit me, I knew I had to claim it and create it. (Even though it was like 4 AM…)
I have been inspired and creating at a whole new level!
